About the work
The session was designed to allow the board to step back from day-to-day operations and explore a shared long-term vision. The session was designed as a starting point, setting the foundations for a clearer theory of change and providing concrete next steps to complete the exercise.
The approach
The session used a flexible approach, giving the group time to explore, share and challenge the organisation’s purpose before considering the outcomes it wanted to achieve.
What the work produced
The day developed material on purpose and outcomes to inform a draft theory of change. The board left with a clearer, shared sense of the outcomes and impact they were looking to achieve and how to develop and test this thinking further with staff and stakeholders.
Testimonial
“Rob and Tabby were brilliant from start to finish. They worked with me on what I wanted from the day and took extra time to speak to board members who couldn’t attend, so everyone was represented. We covered a lot in a long day, but they made it interesting and fun and kept our energy up throughout. Afterwards they sent a comprehensive report that captured what we did and made clear recommendations, which has fed straight into our theory of change and staffing plan. I’d definitely recommend Rob and Tabby to help you work through whatever it is you need!”
